Registered Nurse - PACU (RN) - Cicero, New York

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years PACU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Prior clinical experience in a PACU setting required
• Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia patient monitoring and recovery protocols
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement patient care with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with fellow healthcare providers
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required or willingness to obtain)
• Desire to maintain a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Closely monitor post-surgical patients during recovery from anesthesia
• Assess patients’ vital signs and levels of consciousness at regular intervals
• Administer medications as ordered and effectively manage pain and nausea
• Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative care requirements
• Respond promptly to emergencies and address surgical or anesthesia complications
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately
• Communicate clearly with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other nursing staff
