Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and a valid NC or compact RN license.

  • Outpatient Infusion Center setting within an academic medical center
  • \n
  • Treatment modalities include chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, procedural care, phlebotomy and lab draws, Bone Marrow Transplant patient care, clinical trial administration and monitoring, and urgent care visits
  • \n
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
  • \n
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
  • \n
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact) currently in hand
  • \n
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • \n
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care to oncology outpatient infusion patients, including education and emotional support to patients and families
  • \n
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • \n
  • BSN or MSN preferred but not required
  • \n
  • Background check and drug screen required prior to start; allow at least 2 weeks for results to be returned
  • \n
