American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Transplant Coordinator for an outpatient cellular therapy clinic, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hematology/oncology experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

- Outpatient clinic setting within an acute hospital environment specializing in peripheral blood transplant and cellular therapy \n
- Patients present with hematologic malignancies at various phases of the transplant process, from candidate identification through cell harvest and cellular therapy infusion \n
- Coordinators manage a caseload of 8+ patients at a time, coordinating all appointments and care across multiple phases of the transplant process \n
- Daily patient interactions may reach approximately 20 across all parties involved in a patient's care \n
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30 (5x8-hour day shifts) \n
- No call, float, or weekend requirements \n
- EMR system: Epic; also uses Pyxis \n

- Active NC or compact RN license required (may be pending at time of consideration) \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Hematology/oncology experience required \n
- Experience in both acute hospital and outpatient clinic settings required \n
- Proficiency in pre-transplant evaluation and assessment required \n
- Ability to interpret lab results and diagnostic tests related to transplant required \n
- Experience coordinating patient care needs before, during, and after transplantation required \n
- Strong knowledge of transplant center protocols, waitlist criteria, and universal precautions required \n
- Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 12 months required prior to start (pending at time of consideration is acceptable) \n

- Transplant Coordinators follow patient cases from candidate identification through workup/evaluation, cell harvest, and cellular therapy infusion or transplant, scheduling and tracking all pre- and post-transplant testing and appointments \n
- Coordinators attend regular interdisciplinary meetings with physicians and staff and must be highly organized and able to work autonomously \n
- Navigator or case manager experience is preferred \n
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification is preferred \n
- Preferred skills include assisting with organ offers and recipient preparation, coordinating post-transplant care, monitoring patient progress, and providing psychosocial support and medication adherence education \n
- Familiarity with organ-specific diseases (e.g., ESRD, cirrhosis, heart failure), recognition of transplant complications (infection, rejection), and transplant-related pharmacology are preferred \n
- Orientation is approximately 40 hours with ongoing training throughout the assignment; pre-start modules are required (approximately 4–5 hours for non-acute roles) \n
- Scrubs are not provided by the facility \n
- Candidates who previously worked for this health system as permanent, PRN, or EP staff must wait 12 months before being considered as a traveler \n
- No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation; up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if not falling on a holiday \n
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays \n
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible at a different rate \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Travel pairs are allowed; each must have their own transportation and be comfortable with potentially different schedules \n
