\nProfessional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience.
\nPerforms miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient. \n
- Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs. \n
- Implements nursing education assessment on assigned patients. \n
- Evaluates the patient’s response to nursing interventions and teaching. \n
- Demonstrates leadership skills \n
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

- Florida R.N. licensure \n
- Basic Life Support \n
Minimum Experience
\n- \n
- One year med/surgical experience preferred. \n
