Job Description
Blue Point Healthcare Center is seeking a highly organized and dependable Central Supply Coordinator to oversee the ordering, receiving, inventory management, and distribution of medical, nursing, housekeeping, and facility supplies. The ideal candidate will ensure all departments have the necessary supplies and equipment to provide high-quality resident care while maintaining accurate inventory records and controlling supply costs.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrder, receive, stock, and distribute medical and non-medical supplies throughout the facility.
Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct routine inventory counts.
Monitor supply usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Ensure supplies and equipment are stored safely and in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Receive deliveries, verify shipments against purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate equipment repairs and maintain records of equipment maintenance and inspections.
Work closely with Nursing, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Administration to meet departmental supply needs.
Track and maintain records of inventory, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications.
Assist with budget management by monitoring supply expenditures.
Ensure emergency and resident care supplies are adequately stocked at all times.
Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and facility safety guidelines.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in central supply, inventory management, purchasing, or healthcare supply chain preferred.
Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move supplies throughout the facility.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
