About the Role:
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, and cognitive disorders. Your primary goal will be to help our residents improve their communication skills, achieve their maximum potential, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, and cognitive disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Conduct regular updates and evaluations to measure progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Monitor and document resident progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing suggestions for modifications
Participate in staff development and education, sharing expertise and best practices with coworkers
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
New York State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust and rapport with residents and staff
