Position:  We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Technician at our OGS Machining division to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and aerospace production and inspection environments and will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Assist with inspection, layout, and data collection activities to support production and quality requirements.
  • Serve as a customer documentation expert—experience with Meggitt & GE is a strong plus.
  • Prepare and review PPAP, FAI, and other customer-required documentation; obtain and maintain required inspection stamps.
  • Conduct and interpret capability studies, including CPK calculations and related data entry.
  • Strong GD&T knowledge.
  • Familiarity with a variety of mechanical inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and hardness testers.
  • Develop bubble drawings and IPD (inspection plan) documentation as needed.
  • Review and submit nonconformance documentation to customer.
  • Interface with customer to work through quality challenges.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance quality performance, compliance, and process efficiency.
  • Create and review in-process inspection reports and collaborate on in-process drawings to ensure product quality throughout production.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) for process monitoring and quality control. 
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing methods and recommend improvements for defect prevention


 Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a machining and aerospace inspection environment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and applications.
  • Familiarity with common inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, special processes, and manufacturing techniques. 
  • Experience with customer-specific documentation and quality requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data, perform capability studies, and document results accurately.
  • Experience interacting with customers while working through complex problems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, statistical software, and quality management tools.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Work hours will follow shop hours 40-50 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 6am – 3:30pm and Friday 7am - 11am hours.
