Purchasing & Procurement Lead

Are you a Purchasing, Procurement, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain professional looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a growing family-owned food importer and distributor, is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Lead to join their team in Auburn, WA.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the chance to step into a highly visible role supporting inventory planning, purchasing, supplier management, and business growth.

What you'll do:

• Own purchasing and inventory planning for an assigned product portfolio
• Manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and service issues
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
• Analyze inventory investment, cash flow, and supplier performance
• Partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Category Management
• Support the company's future transition to NetSuite

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills are a plus
• Intermediate Excel skills with experience tracking and analyzing data
• ERP experience (NetSuite is ideal!)
• Detail-oriented, communicative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 100% onsite in Auburn, WA with free parking on site (future hybrid flexibility available after conversion).

This is a highly visible role offering direct partnership with the Director of FP&A and CFO, along with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping shape and improve a growing purchasing and inventory planning function.
