Job Title: Design Technician

Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company

Duration: 1 Year (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Boulder, CO 80301

Shift: 1st Shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Description:

• Design and modify components, assemblies, and systems to improve product performance and manufacturability.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Prepare layouts, sketches, calculations, and technical documentation for design proposals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling, Materials, and Planning teams.
• Support production, maintenance, testing, safety, process improvement, and product development activities.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems using schematics and technical documentation.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain technical data while performing engineering calculations.
• Recommend and implement improvements to design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Lead complex technical projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure project plans, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.
• Review technical work, delegate tasks, and support daily team operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize products and manufacturing processes.

Education:

• Relevant Engineering or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Expert-level knowledge in CAD design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members preferred.
