Job Title: Design Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (Possibility of Extension)
Location: Boulder, CO 80301
Shift: 1st Shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Description:
- Design and modify components, assemblies, and systems to improve product performance and manufacturability.
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Prepare layouts, sketches, calculations, and technical documentation for design proposals.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling, Materials, and Planning teams.
- Support production, maintenance, testing, safety, process improvement, and product development activities.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems using schematics and technical documentation.
- Gather, analyze, and maintain technical data while performing engineering calculations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Lead complex technical projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure project plans, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.
- Review technical work, delegate tasks, and support daily team operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize products and manufacturing processes.

Education:
- Relevant Engineering or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expert-level knowledge in CAD design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members preferred.
