Job Description

The Quality Technician is a support and service role focused on implementing and sustaining quality. This position involves inspection and troubleshooting of all aspects of manufacturing related to product quality and performance. The team member will participate in problem-solving, statistical studies, and special quality projects to develop and implement improvements, as well as assist with problem resolution during new product introductions.

Pay: Starting pay at $24.75 per hour
Automatic pay increases at 90 days and 6 months!
Sign-on bonus of $1,500 paid out in two installments at 30 days and 90 days
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5am - 3:30pm, Friday overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot all aspects of production per quality processes and audits.
  • Provide internal and external customer support in resolving quality issues.
  • Assist with problem resolution during new product introductions.
  • Design and execute statistical studies and special quality projects.
  • Participate in preventative activities such as process documentation, machine capability studies, and defect data collection.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
  • Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Proficient computer knowledge and ability to use applicable software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with measurement devices and units of measure.
  • Mechanical and math aptitude.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing and job-related experience preferred.
  • Training experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Training timeline for this position is up to 12 weeks or more.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. at waist level and up to 30 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally.
  • Push or pull up to 80 lbs. occasionally.
  • Generate up to 65 lbs. of grip strength and 15 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Stand continuously and walk frequently during shifts.
  • Stoop, kneel, squat, and reach forward or sideways as needed.
  • Perform occasional elevated work when handling products.
  • Display average coordination with both hands continuously.
