Job Description
Production Control Coordinator
Lynn, MA
Sunday to Thursday from 1pm to 9pm
$18 per hour depending on experience

This role is responsible for driving the production schedule through accurate scale of ingredients, ensuring sure accuracy of integrity of data in inventory system, and assisting QA and Production Supervisors in organizing and analyzing data from the inventory system. This role will work with management to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies and assist shift leads with daily administrative duties.
Duties and responsibilities of the Production Control Coordinator
Reads daily production schedule and select formula for desired batches.
- Accurately scale ingredients according to established formulas:
- Check ingredient scale for proper calibration.
- Place assembled ingredients for each batch with identifying work order traveler on rack for mixers.
- Perform inventory checks of ingredients in PCS room; move ingredients from warehouse to PCS room both physically and in database system. Ensure ingredient lot numbers are accurately updated.
- Ensure ingredients are stored and handled following bakery Allergen Control and Cross-Contamination Control standards.
- Keep PCS work area clean and kept cleared of trash and contaminants.
- Super-user of internal inventory database (Fishbowl); acts as resource for other system users.
- Updating database, and creating/modifying projects as needed. Collaborate with QA Prod Doc Technician to confirm updated recipes flow properly in system.
- o Ensure jobs are closed as needed throughout production.
- o Data entry of work order numbers.
- o Pull data reports from system.
- Follow production processes in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Reviews production records to see if errors were made during activities or to determine any product failures.
- Communicate to Supervisor and QA Manager/Tech. about any problems that compromise BRC or GFSI standards and any company policies and procedures. Ensure that BRC and GFSI standards are followed on a daily basis.
- Collect and analyze data related to increasing efficiency and reducing costs. Assist Production Supervisor and QA team to review inventory database (Fishbowl) that may be tied to equipment problems, production data trends (yields, rejects, and failures), material changes and inconsistencies

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- English fluency required.
- Reading, writing, and mathematics skills. Comfortable learning metric system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear speech and active listening.
- Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of software and database systems, and comfortable with data entry.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts, principles, and calculations.
- Ability to prioritize, identify problems, and seek solutions, as well as follow up and follow through on set tasks.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and sanitation instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and speak effectively in front of groups.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-2 years of data entry or related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Servsafe or food Service Handler Certification (Preferred)
- General knowledge of food production and processing. (Preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to walk, reach, bend, and climb steps
- Must be able to lift up to 25-35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
