What You'll Do

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing production schedules that support customer demand while optimizing resources throughout the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Balance demand, capacity, labor, materials, and inventory to maximize production efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
  • Utilize ERP and MRP systems to manage material availability, production schedules, and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor production performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively address scheduling conflicts, material shortages, capacity constraints, and production bottlenecks.
  • Analyze production data and trends to improve throughput, reduce disruptions, and support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices.
  • Support production planning projects, ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate planning data including bills of material, routings, lead times, and planning parameters.
  • Communicate schedule changes, production priorities, and operational risks effectively across departments and leadership teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory utilization, and customer service levels.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Operations Planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience creating and managing production schedules based on customer demand.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and material flow.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory planning strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with IFS ERP.
  • APICS/CPIM certification or similar supply chain credentials.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, forecasting, and master production scheduling methodologies.
  • Project management experience within manufacturing or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working closely with logistics, transportation, and procurement functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.
