  • Train on forklift usage in the future and support material movement as needed once trained.
  • Support batch mixing and recipe reading activities by following written instructions accurately.

Why Work Here?

Employees benefit from bi-weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package that begins shortly after hire, including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan with a competitive company match. Uniforms are provided and professionally cleaned, helping reduce personal expenses and ensuring a consistent, safe work appearance. Paid vacation, sick, and personal time become available after a short initial period, supporting work-life balance. As the facility grows and scheduling evolves, employees gain opportunities to work stable, predictable shifts and develop new skills such as forklift operation and machine maintenance.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large, older-style brick manufacturing building dedicated to producing dry powdered food items, such as hot cocoa mixes, in a food-grade, GMP-required facility. Additional production and support areas are located across the street, and employees can expect frequent walking and stair use, including spiral staircases and elevated catwalks above machines. Some areas of the facility can be hot, particularly in non-air-conditioned zones, while the mixing area is air conditioned. The operation currently uses 12-hour shifts and is transitioning to typical 8-hour shifts (expected schedules of 8–4, 4–12, and 12–8), and employees must be open to working 2nd or 3rd shift. The environment includes regular lifting of 50–55 lbs, working around production machinery, and potential future forklift use. This is a strict GMP environment: uniforms must be worn at all times, steel-toe boots above the ankle are required from day one, and items such as jewelry, fake nails, fake lashes, chains, watches, and rings are not allowed to prevent contamination. Food allergies must be carefully considered due to exposure to ingredients such as dairy or nuts, and employees must consistently follow sanitation and safety procedures throughout the facility.
