Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. Our company is a leading manufacturer of frozen baked goods for grocery stores across the United States. The ideal candidate will excel in a busy environment, working alongside our Facilities Team to perform repairs and maintenance tasks on bakery production equipment, freezers, and facility grounds in an orderly, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair all equipment within the bakery, including production areas, building, and facility grounds.
  • Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions, ensuring tasks are completed within rigid time frames to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and safe, adhering to company GMPs.
  • Work in compliance with Federal and State regulations, maintaining accurate records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.
  • Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with urgency, providing emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform duties across all areas within the maintenance department.
  • Provide technical assistance and information to the Chief Engineer as needed.
  • Display initiative by recognizing work that needs to be accomplished and making recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Ability to work in high temperature environments and support fast-paced machinery.
  • Flexibility to learn and perform different tasks as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Inverter and PLC programming experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in maintenance of production line equipment and facilities at a large commercial bakery is preferred.
  • Work experience with industrial, manufacturing, or production line equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work any day, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation to meet 24/7 production standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is a commercial bakery with exposure to noise, dust, and food allergens. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, gloves, smocks, and glasses must be worn at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
