Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mixing paints and solvents according to manufacturer specifications, operating automated mixing equipment, and applying liquid paint using both electrostatic and traditional paint guns. You will ensure that parts reside in the flashing and drying sections for the specified time, inspect work, and make necessary corrections. Periodic cleaning and flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems is also required.

Responsibilities

• Accept only properly prepared parts for painting.
• Manually move parts through painting, flashing, and drying sections.
• Handle the full paint process, including mixing paints and solvents per manufacturer specifications.
• Operate automated mixing equipment.
• Apply liquid paint using electrostatic and traditional spray guns.
• Ensure correct flashing and drying times.
• Inspect painted parts and correct defects when necessary.
• Clean and flush paint/solvent delivery systems as required.
• Ensure all paint system equipment receives scheduled or required maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint system and work area.
• Assist in all areas of the paint line operation when needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Essential Skills

• Experience with industrial painting and paint preparation.
• Proficient in using spray guns and paint booths.
• Knowledge of sanding and industrial paint application.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Responsible for having maintenance of all paint system equipment accomplished as specified.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint system and work area.
• Flexibility to assist as needed in all areas of the paint line operation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trussville, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
