Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)—to join our growing endocrinology team in New Windsor and Monroe, NY.
Working alongside a board-certified endocrinologist, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, and obesity. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP who is passionate about endocrinology and chronic disease management in a collaborative practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including insulin, oral diabetes medications, thyroid hormone replacement, and other endocrine therapies.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Conduct follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Assist with endocrinology-related procedures, including thyroid fine needle aspirations (FNA) and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) placement.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks/ECW).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current New York NP or PA license.
- National board certification as an NP or PA.
- Minimum of 2 years of endocrinology clinical experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (ECW preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and other endocrine conditions.
- Experience with CGM devices and thyroid procedures.
- Interest in continuing education and specialty certification in endocrinology.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $140,000–$150,000 annually
