3rd Shift Dryer Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the Drying Department as a Dryer Operator, where you will play a crucial role in the drying and packaging of bulk Ferrous Sulfate, adhering to Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. You will be instrumental in meeting daily production levels and maintaining safety standards, ensuring a clean and efficient work area.
Responsibilities
- Dry and package bulk Ferrous Sulfate following Work Instructions and SOPs.
- Meet daily production needs as determined by management.
- Adhere to safety requirements and maintain production areas with proper housekeeping.
- Maintain proper stock rotation of approved Moist Ferrous Sulfate.
- Move materials using a skid steer.
- Complete Work Orders and Production Records.
- Sample products for Quality Control testing.
- Complete shift change cleaning requirements.
- Load bulk material into the dryer machine using a forklift.
- Operate the dryer machine effectively.
- Use the screening machine to sift the product.
- Move dry material to storage bins.
Essential Skills
- Experience with sit-down forklifts.
- Previous experience operating machinery and making adjustments.
- Familiarity with documentation in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds.
- Knowledge of food production, dryer operation, food manufacturing, GMP, and cGMP.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting where dust (iron salt) is present on the floor, creating a scent reminiscent of pennies. While the material is not hazardous to health, wearing an N95 mask is optional for comfort. Some employees prefer using a scarf. This position involves working in a dirty environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
