Join our team in Secondary Operations where you will engage in grinding, deburring, tapping, and other essential secondary work after parts have been processed in the cold head and screw machine areas. This role involves operating grinding machines, deburring tools, drilling, tapping, and utilizing various machines or hand/power tools. You will also conduct minor inspections, packaging, boxing, and material movement. This position offers the opportunity to transition or cross-train into the cold head or screw machine areas, allowing you to expand your skills in a niche trade.
Responsibilities
- Perform grinding, deburring, tapping, and secondary operations on parts.
- Operate grinding machines, deburring tools, and other hand/power tools.
- Conduct minor inspections and ensure quality of parts.
- Package, box, and move materials efficiently.
- Cross-train into cold head or screw machine areas for skill expansion.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Ability to train on machines and processes.
- Capability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Proficiency in basic math skills, including conversions of decimals and fractions, metric and standard measurements.
- Machine operation or setup experience is preferred.
- Experience with CNC, fabrication, or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Any experience with cold heading or Acme screw machines is advantageous.

Work Environment
Work in a well-organized shop environment with 40 employees, featuring numerous industrial machines and moving parts. The Monday-Thursday shifts run from 4pm-2:30am, with optional overtime on Fridays. The shop is not temperature-controlled, but fans are available, and wearing shorts is permitted during warmer months. Enjoy a supportive atmosphere with no weekend work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Branch, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
