This role focuses on receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. You will help maintain accurate inventory records, ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently, and support daily operations in a climate-controlled, high-volume distribution environment that ships critical prescriptions nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and accurately record data manually or using a computer system.
- Count and reconcile stock items, comparing physical counts to inventory records and investigating or correcting any discrepancies.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Store items in an orderly, clearly labeled, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other storage areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure proper tracking.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Keep accurate records of stock usage, damage, and stock handling equipment to support inventory control and reporting.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear, damage, or defects, and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
- Provide assistance and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and workflow.
- Determine appropriate storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental conditions, and facility capabilities.
- Perform order picking and material handling tasks using RF scanners and related equipment as needed.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle inventory using RF scanners to track stock movement and maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
- Work with a strong sense of urgency and purpose to ensure prescription orders are processed and shipped on time.
- Rotate through multiple departments as needed, including manual opening of items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders.
- Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document work, and coordinate with team members.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support secure and compliant operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Experience with picking, packing, and material handling in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
- Ability to use RF scanners or similar devices for inventory management and order processing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of related warehouse, stockroom, or inventory experience required.
- Willingness to work a flexible shift schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to perform tasks that include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Previous experience in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment environment.
- Familiarity with order picking, packing, and inventory workflows in a climate-controlled warehouse.
- Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners and basic computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Ability to adapt to different departments and tasks, including manual opening of items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and accuracy while working with time-sensitive orders.

Work Environment
The facility is a clean, climate-controlled warehouse environment designed for high-volume prescription fulfillment. Work involves standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Shifts include a flexible schedule with backfill opportunities, such as a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift and a Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. shift, supporting continuous operations. The environment is generally laid back and casual; employees may wear jeans, khakis, dress pants, capri pants (no shorter than mid-calf), scrubs, T-shirts, polo shirts, leggings, sweatpants, spandex pants, and jackets, hoodies, or sweaters without pockets. Sneakers and closed-toe shoes are required. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, scarves, dangling jewelry, hats, head coverings, ripped clothing, exposed midriffs, pajama pants, clothing with inappropriate words or graphics, and jackets or hoodies with pockets are not permitted. Employees may keep their phone in their pocket and use one earbud to listen to music while working, but phones may not be used on the floor; repeated violations can result in termination. The work is organized into several departments where specialists perform tasks such as manual opening of items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
