Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, such as furnaces, cranes, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production teams to address unscheduled downtime.
- Assist supervisors in monitoring employee training for accuracy.
- Inspect mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Perform welding using oxyacetylene torch, arc welder, and MIG welder.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, and reassemble when complete.
- Examine forms and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repair or replace defective parts and install special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Ensure all emission control systems are working properly and comply with federal, state, and local documentation.
- Lubricate and clean parts, and start devices to test their performance.
- Work aloft utilizing aerial man lifts.
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance on mobile equipment.
- Repair electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with proper safety guidelines, including PPE and other safety policies.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, industrial, and hydraulic systems.
- Expertise in fabrication and welding.
- Skilled in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting, including PLC troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with 480v systems.
- Multicraft skills are preferred, with an electrical focus being advantageous.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments such as block plants, mills, water treatment plants, or wastewater plants.
