Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician performs general repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems, buildings, equipment, and machinery. This role supports safe and efficient operations by maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of assets.
- Repair and maintain building systems, including doors, walls, flooring, lighting, fixtures, and general carpentry-related components.
- Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, machining, and mechanical repairs as needed to support facility operations.
- Operate heavy equipment and powered industrial equipment when required and properly authorized.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to restore operations and ensure safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to plan and complete maintenance tasks accurately.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and repair documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and all applicable safety procedures during maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other departments to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance projects efficiently.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and maintenance shops to support a well-organized work environment.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair in an industrial or facility environment.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and the ability to diagnose and repair common plumbing issues.
- Experience working with HVAC systems, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Carpentry skills and general building maintenance experience for structures, fixtures, and finishes.
- Mechanical repair and preventative maintenance experience on facility equipment and machinery.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe work practices in an industrial or facilities setting.
- Capability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial or mechanical environment.
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience.
- Heavy equipment operation experience where applicable.
- Experience in industrial maintenance or service work as a maintenance technician.
- Comfort working with industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
