Community Support Partner

Help two engaging adults with Down syndrome build an independent, joyful, and meaningful life in the community. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a trusted mentor, teammate, and friend-not simply completing a list of tasks. Hours are M-Th 4-8:30pm and some weekends possible (but not required). Pay: $17-20 an hour depending on experience Location: Lenexa, KS What a typical evening could look like: Pick up from work. Assist them with preparing dinner. After dinner, could be overseeing them complete their laundry for the week or plan meals. Your mission is to help these two individuals: -build friendships -explore the community -gain confidence -make choices -learn new skills -stay active -enjoy life -continue to be as independent as possible This position is ideal for someone who: -enjoys mentoring others -believes every person deserves independence and dignity -likes being active in the community -enjoys conversation more than sitting on a phone -values consistency -wants to make a genuine difference in someone's life -is looking for a long-term role rather than temporary employment We understand this is a part-time position.
