New York Community Care is Seeking a passionate Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) for our Virgina satellite office. Join our growing rehabilitation team where you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact while earning a highly competitive salary. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated counselor to provide exceptional care to individuals overcoming substance use disorders in a supportive and collaborative treatment environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct substance use assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling

• Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other treatment professionals

• Support clients throughout their recovery journey from admission through discharge planning

• Promote a culture of hope, dignity, and accountability

Qualifications

✔ Active Virginia CSAC credential (required)

✔ Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or recovery services preferred

✔ Strong documentation and communication skills

✔ Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations

✔ Passion for helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction
