Dental Registered Veterinary Technician at Sierra Ranch Veterinary Clinic

Skills include:

General product knowledge: medical terminology, anatomy, medications, etc.

Our team members must be self-motivated, have great customer service skill sand have the ability to understand time management to be able to prioritize effectively.

Ability to perform:

- Perform professional dental cleanings under anesthesia

- Obtain full-mouth digital dental radiographs

- Accurately identify and document dental abnormalities and periodonal disease

- Charge dentla findings using proper veterinary dental terminology

- Able to perform simple and complicated extractions

- Perform dental polishing

- TPR, understands signalments.

- Ability to restrain dogs and cats

- Ability to perform SQ, IM, IV injections

- Medical terminology

- Blood draws, IV Cath placement

- Basic diagnostics, which includes radiographs and in-house lab's.

- Drug Calculations

- Laser Therapy experience is a plus

- Strong communication skills with clients
