Requirements

Experience Required:

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Current and proficient Bone Density (DEXA) exam experience is a hard-stop requirement
• Position is for a DEXA Technologist, not a DEXA Technician
• X-ray duties are not required

License Required:

• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiography License

Certifications Required:

• ARRT (R)
• AHA BLS

First-timers accepted: Yes

Skills Required:

• Bone Density (DEXA) examinations
• Bone mineral density (BMD) testing
• Patient positioning for DEXA studies
• Radiation safety
• Image acquisition and quality assurance
• Epic EMR documentation
• Independent workflow in a bone density clinic
