Tax Associate (Energy & Transactional Tax)

Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Tax Associate to join its Charlotte, New York, or Washington, D.C. office.

Locations: Charlotte, NC | New York, NY | Washington, D.C.
Experience: 4–6 Years
Compensation: $270,000–$365,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional tax attorney to work on sophisticated tax matters, including renewable energy projects, tax equity investments, and complex financing transactions.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

• Transactional tax matters
• Renewable energy projects and tax credits
• Tax equity and credit transfer transactions
• Partnership, joint venture, and LLC agreements
• Tax aspects of equity and debt financings
• Tax provisions in M&A transactions
• Stock purchase, asset purchase, and merger agreements

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 4–6 years of transactional tax experience
• LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
• Ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively
