About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Aspire Senior Living Carthage, Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in our residents. You will work closely with our nursing staff, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal communication and swallowing function.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' communication and swallowing abilities
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to improve speech, language, and swallowing function
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to residents
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Document resident progress and communicate with family members and healthcare professionals
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech language pathology
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited institution
Current certification in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Missouri state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Experience working with older adults and individuals with communication and swallowing disorders
