POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant performs advanced general accounting responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, month-end close support, financial analysis, and audit support. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly close.
• Maintain assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
• Analyze financial activity and investigate fluctuations to ensure accuracy and completeness of results.
• Assist with cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, standard cost maintenance, and variance analysis.
• Review and analyze cost and expense trends and variances
• Support preparation of internal financial reports and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
• Assist with audit requests, internal control documentation, and compliance activities.
• Support process standardization and documentation within the accounting function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and data accuracy.
• Comply with company procedures and internal controls.
• Contribute to special projects and system or process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive general accounting experience in a corporate environment
Other Requirements:
• Systems required: SAP and Microsoft Office
• Preferred Skills: Power Query, VBA, and Winshuttle/PreciselyAutomate
Work environment:
This role requires onsite attendance five days per week in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels. This role requires onsite attendance and is not a hybrid or remote position. Occasional work-related travel may be required.
