Substance Abuse Counselor

Cornerstone of Rhinebeck, a short-term, inpatient chemical dependency treatment program for adults, is seeking a Full Time and Per Diem Substance Abuse Counselor to work directly with patients. As a vital member of our treatment team, you will provide individual and group counseling services to help individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Schedule:

• Full Time Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 7:00AM-3:30PM

• Per Diem Schedule: Open to the needs of the department; weekends and holidays may be required

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and primary clinicians

• Conduct assessments and screenings to identify patients' needs and develop treatment plans

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans

• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and program developments

Requirements:

• Must be CASAC-T, CASAC, CASAC2, CASAC Advanced Counselor, or CASAC Master Counselor

• Experienced in group and individual counseling

• Computer literate

• CPR Certification

• Experience with electronic medical records is a plus

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
