**Title:** EH&S Specialist (Environmental) **Location:** United States-Michigan-Cadillac **Job Number:** 18549 **SUMMARY** : Provide assistance to management of all environmental, health and safety processes & programs for the facility in accordance with all applicable regulations, documents and environmental, health, safety standards/regulations. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Assist in the development of written environmental programs that include policies, recognition, standard operating procedures, job safety analysis, alerts, training and accountability with regard to all corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. Reviewing regulations annually for change and compliance.Build relationships with local and state agencies. + Waste-Perform satellite hazardous waste inspection, set-up satellite stations; water meter reading; monitor the outfall to comply with requirements within the NPDES permit.Maintain records for chemical inventory; inspect the Designated Storage Building of Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste (DSA); manage the collection and analyzing of the outfall water samples, schedule hazardous waste shipment, disposal, and record keeping for reporting agencies. Waste training, re-qualification of waste streams, request quotes for yearly sampling and analytical services.Water- Review City of Cadillac Waste-Water Treatment Plant analytical data from our discharge, Calculate and evaluate monthly water and sewer usage compliance with sewer permits maintain, water meter spreadsheets for the city POTW; oversee all environmental sampling and testing; complete and submit monthly operating and groundwater treatment reports to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ); Submit quarterly environmental data for reporting to AAR Corp. + Air- Review Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) temperature chart and alarm summary report. Compile all air data with regards to emissions, reviewing all processes for permit requirements. Complete the following reports by:March 1- SARA Title III Tier II Report, March 15- MDEQ Report, Title V Certification, July 1- SARA Title III TRI Report (Form R), Sept 15 – Title V Permit Certification, Prepare the Biennial Hazardous Waste Report for submittal to the MDEQ, Boiler MACT, Administer the asbestos program including training and recordkeeping. Submit purchase requisitions for services, supplies, environmental projects, update SDS files and maintain online system and spreadsheets, Generate SOPsfor all environmental tasks that require action by associates.Develop work instructions for all tasks under your authority. Must have knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** Associate or bachelor’s degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Stormwater Industrial (A-1i) certification, Industrial/Commercial Wastewater Operator certification. Storing and Shipping of Hazardous Waste certificate (LQG).
