Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wastewater / Ultra Pure Water (UPW) Construction Manager to support a large-scale semiconductor facility project in Boise, ID. This role will lead the coordination, installation, and delivery of complex UPW and wastewater treatment systems critical to fab operations.
You will serve as a key liaison between the client, general contractor, and specialty vendors ensuring systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with design and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction and installation of UPW and wastewater treatment systems, including piping, filtration systems, pumps, tanks, and associated infrastructure
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and schedule
- Manage integration of process mechanical and I&C systems within the facility
- Track and drive project schedule, identifying risks and implementing mitigation or recovery plans
- Lead coordination and progress meetings with client, GC, and trade partners
- Review drawings, P&IDs, submittals, and technical documentation for accuracy and constructability
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, safety requirements, and project specifications
- Monitor vendor fabrication, procurement, and delivery of critical equipment
- Support commissioning, startup, and system turnover activities
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for UPW/WWT scope, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and key decisions
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of construction experience, with direct experience in UPW, wastewater treatment, or process mechanical systems
- Proven experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing projects
- Strong knowledge of:
- Reverse osmosis (RO), filtration systems, carbon beds
- Pumps, tanks, valves, and process piping systems
- Process mechanical and I&C system integration
- Experience managing vendors and subcontractors on large-scale construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting semiconductor fab projects (Micron, Intel, TSMC, etc.)
- Familiarity with UPW systems and high-purity piping, valves, and components (PVDF, stainless, etc.)
Work Location/Travel Expectations
Primarily on-site at construction projects, with some office work for reporting and documentation.
Travel may be required depending on project locations
