CNC Machinist
Jeffersonville, IN | Direct Hire | $26–$28/hr + $1.50 Shift Differential
Shift: 2nd Shift | Full-Time | Raises every 6 months up to $35+/hr, plus quarterly bonus up to $750
About the Role
BESTAFF is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for a leading manufacturing partner in Jeffersonville, IN. This 2nd shift opportunity comes with strong starting pay, automatic raises every 6 months up to $35+/hr, and a quarterly performance bonus of up to $750. You'll work on precision components using Mazak and HAAS equipment, put your blueprint-reading and shop math skills to work, and grow your career with a direct-hire employer that invests in its people through full benefits, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret blueprints with ease.
- Select the proper tools and perform machine set-ups to achieve close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.
- Inspect first-run pieces, work-in-progress parts, and final parts using a variety of measuring devices to ensure quality standards.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as called out on prints.
- Operate CNC and fabrication machinery (primarily Mazak and HAAS equipment) to produce precision parts.
- Ensure accurate machine set-up and print interpretation, catching errors through frequent tolerance and quality checks.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related college coursework or formal training a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of shop experience or equivalent trade school apprenticeship.
- Excellent mechanical skills and good shop math skills.
- Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans to apply to set-up and processing.
