Ophthalmic Technician
Cokingtin Eye Center is a busy, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our patients. We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with patients, and is committed to delivering outstanding clinical care.

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of ophthalmology experience required.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, anatomy, and common eye diseases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a busy clinical setting.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient work-ups, including obtaining medical and ocular histories.
- Measure and document visual acuity and other clinical findings accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Perform manifest refractions and other technician skills.
- Conduct ophthalmic diagnostic testing as directed by the physician.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ocular anatomy and ophthalmic terminology.
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures while maintaining sterile technique and patient comfort.
- Accurately document physician findings, treatment plans, and patient education during clinic visits.
- Educate patients regarding medications, diagnostic testing, procedures, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Work efficiently with physicians and fellow team members to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
