General Manager - Smoothie King

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused General Manager to lead the operations of a new Smoothie King location in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a Smoothie King store or working in a similar quick-service/health-focused franchise environment. This role is responsible for store performance, team leadership, guest satisfaction, and brand compliance.

Must be able to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and motor vehicle record check. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Will be required to attend a 3 week training in September at a certified training store in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Store Leadership

• Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure Smoothie King brand standards are met or exceeded
• Lead the store opening process, including hiring, training, and operational setup
• Ensure compliance with all Smoothie King operating procedures, food safety standards, and local health regulations
• Manage inventory, ordering, waste control, and vendor relationships

Team Management

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing team
• Create staff schedules to meet business needs while controlling labor costs
• Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective action when needed
• Foster a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture

Guest Experience

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience with a focus on speed, accuracy, and hospitality
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Serve as a role model for guest engagement and brand values

Financial Performance

Assist the owner in:

• Managing store P&L, including sales growth, labor control, and cost management
• Meet or exceed sales, profitability, and operational KPI targets
• Prepare and analyze reports related to sales, labor, and inventory

Marketing & Community Engagement

• Execute corporate and local marketing initiatives
• Build strong relationships within the Raleigh community to drive brand awareness and traffic
• Support catering, promotions, and loyalty programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in quick-service or fast-casual food service
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage labor, inventory, and financial performance
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain prior to opening)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a General Manager, Assistant Manager, or Shift Leader at Smoothie King
• Familiarity with Smoothie King systems, recipes, and brand standards
• Experience opening a new restaurant or retail location
• Passion for health, wellness, and guest service
