The Schedule & Location:

This position has a hybrid-office requirements in our Newton/Rte. 128 office location for three to four days a week (Fridays off), with opportunity to work from home one day per week. 

 

The Position:

We are seeking a senior accountant who has the skills and experience to work with and support our outside accounting firm. The successful candidate will balance responsibilities of managing vendors, invoices, and expense reporting and coordinating meetings and supporting an office of 5-6 private equity professionals for our Private Equity Fund.


Responsibilities Include:

 

·       Working with the firm Partners on specified initiatives and managing assigned day-to-day business issues and projects as needed,

·       Managing financial records, including billing, payments, investment records and transactions as well as scheduling certain projects for our Private Equity Fund,

·       Completing day-to-day accounting items, including keeping track of invoices to ensure the firm’s CFO and outside accountants have all the necessary materials to complete the monthly, quarterly and annual firm books and records.

·       Managing and paying bills and working with Partners to manage travel and related expenses.

·       Organizing, populating, and maintaining shared files for portfolio company reporting and governance.

·       Providing input and support to our CFO for the firm’s annual budget.

·       Provide ad hoc support and analysis to the Partners with respect to the firm’s portfolio companies.

·       Managing payroll processing and coordinating with the firm’s payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payment for all employees.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an accountant providing support to an executive team

·       Strong verbal and written communications skills

·       Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

·       Highly organized with strong attention to detail

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality

·       Ability to flourish in a collaborative, team office environment

·       Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

·       Experience with financial reporting and standard general ledger packages

·       Prior experience in a financial services, private equity, or investment management environment preferred


Pay:  From $90,000 – $125,000 depending on experience (equivalent of ~$110,000 - $140,000 annual salary translated for a four-day work week)
