This position supports the daily operation of a state liquor store by assisting with staff supervision, customer service, and store upkeep. The role helps ensure that customers have a positive experience and that store activities follow required policies and standards. As a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Shift Supervision: Oversee store activities during assigned shifts and ensure procedures are followed
- Team Leadership: Guide employees by assigning tasks, inspecting work, and offering direction
- Sales Support: Participate in stocking products, receiving shipments, and helping customers select items
- Customer Assistance: Provide service by answering questions and resolving concerns to support a positive visit
- Inventory Control: Help manage stock levels and maintain organized product displays
- Operational Support: Assist the General Manager with sales, merchandise tasks, cash handling, and records maintenance

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

- Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of lead retail sales work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
