Production Lead Operator IV - Saturday, Sunday, 1 Weekday, 12 hours,6 am to 6 pm

Job Description:

Position Summary:

TheProductionLeadoperatorposition is responsible and accountable forassistingthe ProductionManager/Supervisor in achieving production requirements for work groups or product line work cells by focusing onsafety,service, quality.Assistingin scheduling and coordinatingworkflow, supporting employee training, providing employee guidance and motivation, followingthrough ofdelegated work, and providing input on employee performance and other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Expedites production of priority jobs to provideon timedelivery for customers.Assistsinidentifyingand recommending procedures for scrap reduction.Reviews completed work orders for accuracy (i.e.start up, shutdown time, material usage, part counts, etc.) and resolves inaccuracies.UsesERPsystem (SAP preferred) to review, transact andmonitorworkflowandachievement ofproduction goals.Coordinatesemployee assignmentsand breaks for work area personnel.Performsduties within technicalexpertisesuch as setting up, tearing down orequipment operation, testing and or inspection of products.Ensuresanyoperatordaily check lists and tasks are completed.

  • Work directly with planning, materials, qualityteams to resolve manufacturing/delivery issues.

  • Work directly with Engineering toidentifyand resolve process issues, develop new productsandorprocesses, and be involved with improvement activities.

  • Provides recognitiontoemployees.Assistsand orconductsemployee training for effective performance.Assistsin ensuring proper cross training is reviewed and updated accordingly.Assistsinproactively addressing performanceissues with employees.Adheres to Company policies and procedures.Provides input to ProductionManager/Supervisor with employee performance reviews and corrective actions.Assistswith coordinating effective delegation of work assignments and training.Assistswith conducting shift meetingsand coordinating mandatory training.

  • Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction,On Time Delivery,waste elimination, growth, costeffectivenessand product/system quality.Promotes and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value activities.Participatesactively in continuousimprovement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.

  • Makerecommendationfor safety improvements. Ensure EHS submissions areentered into ETQ,participatein Gemba walks and JSA audits.

  • Ensuresquality parts are produced for customers.Assistsin investigating and evaluating quality defects as assigned and in determiningappropriate actionsto be taken.Assistswith recommending and implementing solutions to improve quality of products.

  • Promotesdirect action to ensuresafetyof employees and visitors withincompany.Monitors work area and employees' performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions,cleanliness,and potential hazards to include correct use of hand tools, ergonomically work habits,equipmentand machine operation procedure usage.

  • Display and promote a "LEAD BY EXAMPLE" attitude.

  • EnsureEntegris PACE values are followed in theproductionareas and throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • 5 years manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures.

  • Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.

  • Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 4 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift.

  • Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle all materials required in manufacturing, etc.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Physical Requirements:

  • This job requires the ability to stand for long periods.

  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and you must be able to move throughout the department/facility.

  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • This is a manufacturing environment. It involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and moderate to high noise levels.

  • Individuals may be required to wear a bunny suit for long periods at a time in a clean room environment.

  • Wearing safety glasses and Nitrile Gloves are also required.

  • Other safety garments or protection may need to be worn, depending on the nature of the work area.

  • Exposure to metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, and Di water
