Job Description

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role preferred
- Familiarity with academic and behavioral intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and administrators
- Strong communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude
- Patience and flexibility when working with students who have diverse learning and behavioral needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification as a paraprofessional is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on academic and behavioral supports to students in classroom settings
- Assist with implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher direction
- Support inclusion by modifying assignments, offering guidance, and providing reinforcement as needed
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to instructional staff
- Foster a caring, respectful, and productive environment for all students
- Collaborate in problem-solving and teamwork with school staff to help each student succeed
