This contract opportunity offers 32.5 hours per week, providing vital academic and behavioral support to students who are predominantly included in the general education setting. Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role preferred
  • Familiarity with academic and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and administrators
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, encouraging attitude
  • Patience and flexibility when working with students who have diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification as a paraprofessional is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on academic and behavioral supports to students in classroom settings
  • Assist with implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher direction
  • Support inclusion by modifying assignments, offering guidance, and providing reinforcement as needed
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to instructional staff
  • Foster a caring, respectful, and productive environment for all students
  • Collaborate in problem-solving and teamwork with school staff to help each student succeed
