Job Description
The Concrete Cutter operates a variety of concrete cutting and drilling equipment on active construction sites to support slab sawing, wall sawing, core drilling, and selective demolition activities. This role ensures work is completed accurately by reading and interpreting project requirements, maintaining equipment, and following strict safety standards while collaborating closely with supervisors, project managers, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete cutting and drilling equipment, including slab saws, wall saws, core drills, and related machinery on active construction sites.
- Perform slab sawing, wall sawing, core drilling, and selective demolition work according to project specifications and timelines.
- Read and interpret project requirements, drawings, and instructions to ensure all work is completed accurately and to specification.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and guidelines while promoting a strong safety culture on site.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and team members to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or changes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools, such as tape measures, to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Support general construction and concrete-related tasks as needed to ensure successful project completion.
- Ability to safely operate concrete cutting and drilling equipment, including slab saws, wall saws, and core drills.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools commonly used in construction and concrete cutting.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for layout and measurement tasks.
- General labor and construction experience, including working with concrete and on active job sites.
- Experience with machine operation related to concrete cutting and construction activities.
- Ability to read and interpret basic project requirements and, where applicable, blueprints or drawings.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to travel to and from job sites as required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in a construction environment.
- Reliable attendance and strong commitment to safety in all work activities.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and team members.
- Experience in concrete cutting, slab sawing, wall sawing, core drilling, or selective demolition.
- Familiarity with construction site practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.

Work Environment
Work takes place on active construction sites in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings and in all weather conditions. The role involves regular use of concrete cutting and drilling equipment, as well as hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures. The position requires frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials and equipment up to 75 pounds, along with standing, walking, and working around heavy machinery throughout the day. Safety procedures and protective equipment are an integral part of the daily work environment, and adherence to site-specific safety policies is expected at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belgrade, MT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
