Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An acute care or behavioral health pharmacist is needed to provide professional pharmacy services at a behavioral health hospital in Anchorage, AK. This contract position offers a chance to support a specialized facility focused on pediatric behavioral health and detox services.
Location: Anchorage, AK
Position Type: Contract, 8 weeks starting ASAP
Schedule:
- Mondays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM every week
- August 3rd – 7th: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Possible additional weekday coverage as needed
- Weekend coverage not required at this time but may include occasional on-call support
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Registered Pharmacist licensed in Alaska (license required)
- Acute care or behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize HCS Web EMR order entry system (onsite training provided)
- Familiarity or willingness to be trained on Omnicell automation through Citrix/OCRA Remote Desktop
Primary Responsibilities:
- Order entry and medication verification using HCS Web EMR
- Omnicell system checks and drug monitoring in support of behavioral health patient population
- Collaborate with onsite pharmacy technician and Director of Pharmacy (currently on leave)
- Support pharmaceutical distribution and assist with staff training as needed
