Classroom Assistant | Longmont, Colorado

This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students for the entire upcoming school year. Interviews are starting right away for roles beginning at the end of July, supporting grades K-8 in a dynamic school environment near Longmont, CO. As a valued paraprofessional, you'll work closely with students and educators, providing both academic assistance and essential daily support.

Multiple roles are available:

• Grades 6-8: Academic and clerical support for students and teachers.
• Kindergarten-2nd grade: Two positions are open—one for one-on-one behavioral and life skills support (including personal care and ensuring student safety throughout the day), and another with a traditional focus alongside some behavioral support.
• 3rd-5th grade: Two openings for special education paraprofessionals, supporting students with behavioral needs.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting children in educational settings highly preferred
• Proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students and staff
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and behavioral interventions as needed
• Adaptability and a proactive, compassionate approach to diverse student needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized academic and behavioral assistance
• Support teachers with classroom tasks and organization
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment
• Assist with personal care for students who need additional support
• Help implement educational and behavioral plans as directed by specialized staff
