The Maintenance Technician supports reliable, safe, and efficient operation of a highly automated manufacturing facility by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and maintaining accurate maintenance records while collaborating closely with the maintenance team and production staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and automation elements, to restore equipment to proper operating condition.
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to prioritize, plan, and schedule maintenance activities based on production requirements and equipment availability.
- Use electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to identify issues and guide repair and maintenance activities.
- Support the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including solenoids, actuators, sensors, cylinders, conveyors, and motors.
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial environment to resolve control and automation-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts usage.
- Monitor equipment performance and report recurring issues or improvement opportunities to help enhance reliability and uptime.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and facility guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
- At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems used in industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, actuators, sensors, solenoids, and cylinders.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and components in industrial machinery.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
- Ability to diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement effective repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Experience working in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industrial automation equipment and systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply information from industrial schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and maintenance priorities.
- Effective communication skills to clearly document work performed and communicate equipment status.
- Proactive approach to identifying potential equipment issues before they lead to downtime.

The schedule provides extended time off, including a three-day weekend every other week, supporting work-life balance. You will work with advanced equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment and collaborate with a skilled maintenance team focused on problem-solving and long-term equipment performance.
Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled, and highly automated manufacturing facility. You will work with industrial mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including conveyors, motors, actuators, sensors, solenoids, and cylinders, and support PLC troubleshooting in an industrial setting. The position follows a 3-2-2-3 schedule (three days on, two days off, two days on, three days off) with 12-hour shifts, providing a three-day weekend every other week. Shifts do not rotate between days and nights, and candidates must be open to working the assigned fixed shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
