Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by ensuring that production equipment, conveyor systems, and automation run safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of industrial systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and conveyor systems to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond quickly to equipment issues and perform reactive maintenance to restore safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and related components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including moving parts, bearings, drives, and structural components.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and related controls.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including air lines, valves, actuators, and associated controls.
- Diagnose issues related to PLC-controlled equipment, with a focus on Mitsubishi PLCs, and perform basic logic troubleshooting.
- Support robotic troubleshooting, primarily for Fanuc robots, to maintain reliable automated operations.
- Assist with equipment changeovers to support different products or production requirements.
- Support equipment upgrades and modifications to improve performance, safety, and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects by providing technical input and implementing maintenance-related improvements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with production and engineering teams to identify issues, plan repairs, and minimize downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, findings, and repairs to support traceability and future troubleshooting.
- Use fabrication skills as needed to support repairs, modifications, or small projects on production equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial production equipment and conveyor systems.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with industrial electrical systems and controls.
- Mechanical maintenance skills, including the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical components and assemblies.
- Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Hands-on experience working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- PLC knowledge, including basic logic understanding and the ability to diagnose issues on PLC-controlled equipment, with emphasis on Mitsubishi PLCs.
- Experience with industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and support Fanuc robots or similar industrial robots.
- Effective communication skills to work closely with production and engineering teams.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with required overtime every other Saturday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting conveyor-based production lines.
- Fabrication experience for occasional projects or repairs, such as light welding, cutting, or basic metalwork.
- Experience in Maintenance Technology or Engineering, or similar technical field.
- Equivalent hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting will also be considered.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation practices.
- Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical aspects of automated equipment.

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing facility that utilizes conveyor-based production lines and automated equipment, including PLC-controlled systems and Fanuc robots. The role is on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with required overtime every other Saturday to support production demands. The schedule includes two paid 10-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch period. You will work around industrial machinery, electrical panels, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and fabrication tools, requiring adherence to safety procedures and appropriate industrial attire, such as closed-toe safety footwear and any required personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with regular interaction with production and engineering teams to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
