The Flooring Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing flooring inside modular buildings, including office trailers, classrooms, and mobile workspaces. This role supports field operations by ensuring units are safe, functional, and customer-ready.
Responsibilities
- Remove and dispose of existing flooring materials in modular units.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subflooring.
- Measure, cut, and install various types of flooring such as vinyl, laminate, tile, and carpet.
- Apply adhesives, fasteners, and finishes to secure flooring.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure proper alignment, durability, and quality.
- Perform repairs or replacements on damaged flooring in the field.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and company units.
- Follow company safety standards and job site protocols.
- Coordinate with service technicians, carpenters, and field teams to complete unit setups.
- Proficiency in using tape measures, hand and power tools.
- Understanding of building schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Experience with multiple flooring types, including LVT, carpet tile, and sheet vinyl.
- Knowledge of window and door trim.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aumsville, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
