Job Title: Federal Project Manager (USACE / QCM)
Job Description

This role serves as a traveling project manager responsible for leading and delivering federal construction projects in alignment with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards. As a replacement hire in a double-hat capacity, you will manage multiple responsibilities across project planning, execution, and quality control while ensuring compliance with federal requirements and organizational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage federal construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with USACE requirements and project objectives.
  • Coordinate all phases of project delivery, including planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring, to keep work on time and within scope.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to oversee on-the-ground activities, engage with stakeholders, and address project issues promptly.
  • Serve in a dual-capacity role, balancing project management responsibilities with quality control oversight and other assigned duties.
  • Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and communication meet federal and USACE standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and federal representatives to maintain clear communication and effective coordination.
  • Identify project risks and issues early, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and compliance expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience as a project manager on federal construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards, processes, and project requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple responsibilities in a double-hat role, balancing project management and quality-related duties.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites as required by project needs.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills to manage complex federal projects.
  • Effective communication skills to work with federal agencies, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with federal guidelines, USACE specifications, and project documentation standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working on USACE-administered projects or similar federal construction programs.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control Management (QCM) practices in a federal or USACE project environment.
  • Background in managing multiple concurrent responsibilities across project and quality functions.
  • Any relevant certifications or training related to project management, federal contracting, or USACE standards are beneficial.
Work Environment

This is a traveling role that requires regular visits to project sites, where you will work closely with field teams and federal representatives in a dynamic construction environment. The position involves balancing office-based planning and documentation with on-site oversight and coordination. You will operate within a structured federal project framework, adhering to USACE standards and procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Stewart, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $75.00/hr.
