Step into a meaningful role supporting students in a specialized education setting. We're seeking compassionate, highly qualified paraprofessionals for a contract assignment starting September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, working 32.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday. This opportunity is based at a site dedicated to Special Education, where students spend their entire day in a structured, supportive environment designed for those with the highest behavioral and disability support needs. The campus serves a diverse student body ranging from elementary to high school levels—preferences regarding age group can be communicated for optimal fit.

Key Qualifications:

• Must be "highly qualified" via one of the following prior to consideration:
  • Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or
  • At least 60 college credits with academic transcripts available (diplomas/degree certificates are not sufficient)
• Experience or comfort working with students demonstrating severe behavioral or learning needs in a Setting 4 site
• Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and personal care tasks as needed
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to students in a specialized classroom throughout the entire school day
• Assist teaching staff with academic and behavioral interventions, adapting engagement strategies to student needs
• Support students with daily living activities, including toileting/personal care, and foster independence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a safe, positive environment
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of all student-related information
