1:1 Pediatric Instructional Assistant - Escondido, California

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced behavioral health professionals to make a difference in the lives of students as part of a dynamic educational team. Positions are open for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) skilled in providing 1:1 support to children with behavioral needs in a supportive school environment. As part of the ELOP program, you’ll play a key role in supporting students before and after regular school hours, starting August 11, 2026, through June 3, 2027.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver one-on-one behavioral support to pediatric students, focusing on fostering positive behaviors and academic engagement
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure each student’s success
• Follow individualized behavior intervention plans and offer continuous feedback on student progress
• Maintain a safe and encouraging environment, adapting support to meet each child’s unique needs
• Assist with toileting as needed
• Provide consistent presence and support during both morning and afternoon shifts as scheduled

Requirements:

• Active RBT certification required
• Experience in school settings or with behavioral, special education (SPED), or RBT caseloads preferred
• Ability to build trusting relationships with behavioral students and work 1:1 effectively
• Comfort and readiness to handle behavioral interventions and assist with toileting
• Reliability and commitment to the full contract period
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Schedule:

• AM: 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
• PM: Monday 1:00 PM–6:00 PM; Tuesday–Friday 2:18 PM–6:00 PM

This contract opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay of $35.00 and an enriching experience working directly with children who benefit from consistent, skilled behavioral support during critical before- and after-school times.
