Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Paraprofessional, providing essential support to students and educators alike. This full-time, contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through the end of the current school year, with the potential to extend into the 25/26 school year. Work Monday through Friday for 32 hours weekly, making a positive impact in the lives of students ranging in age from 3 to 21.
Your role involves assisting classrooms as both a classroom aide and as an individual aide, primarily supporting students with Autism and behavioral needs as well as learners with varying disabilities. Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to foster an engaging and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) or Paraprofessional (Para) Certification required
- Previous experience supporting students with behavioral and developmental needs, especially Autism, preferred
- Flexibility and compassion working with diverse learners in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to the needs of both individual students and classroom settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and managing classroom routines
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with Autism and behavioral needs
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the school day
