CNC Lathe Machine OperatorJoin a Precision Manufacturing Team That Values Quality

What You'll Do

As a CNC Lathe Machine Operator, you'll play a key role in producing precision-machined components that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate CNC lathe machines, including Haas and OKUMA equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Set up and change tooling as needed throughout production runs
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
  • Deburr and properly handle finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues
  • Verify finished products meet customer specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience operating CNC lathe machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficiency using measuring instruments, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Indicators
    • Edge finders
  • Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CNC programming experience
  • Mastercam experience
  • Knowledge of milling and machining processes
  • Experience working in a job shop environment
  • Ability to load or modify computerized machine instructions

Work Environment

Join a clean, well-maintained machine shop equipped with 24 CNC machines, primarily Haas equipment. Our machining department is team-oriented, with experienced operators who work together to maintain quality and efficiency.

Unlike many high-volume production facilities, we focus on quality over quantity, allowing operators to take pride in their craftsmanship and precision work.

Schedule

1st Shift

  • Monday-Friday
  • Current schedule: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Standard shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Occasional Saturday overtime available as business needs require

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
