Position: Registered Nurse NICU
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
\nStart Date: August 31, 2026
\nRadius: No local candidates within 50 miles
\n\n
Requirements:
\n ✅Minimum 2 years of recent NICU/Neonatal nursing experience required.
✅Travel nursing experience required.
\n✅Must have Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery experience.
\n✅Prior Postpartum (PP) and couplet care experience required.
\n✅Delivery attendance experience required.
\n✅Must be comfortable providing coverage/support for Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery units.
\n✅BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
\n✅NRP certification required.
\n\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n✅Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk newborns during deliveries and in a Level II nursery setting.
\n✅Perform age-appropriate assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
\n✅Provide care for neonates requiring close monitoring, stabilization, and specialized newborn care.
\n✅Attend high-risk deliveries and assist with newborn stabilization and transition care.
\n✅Provide postpartum and couplet care for mothers and newborns as needed.
\n✅Educate and support families regarding newborn care, feeding, safety, and treatment plans.
\n✅Collaborate with physicians, neonatal providers, lactation specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
\n✅Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
\n✅Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development, mentoring, and evidence-based nursing practices.
